For me, life is a journey, not a destination. God, family and community come first. I believe that a job well done is its own reward and that to whom much is given, much is required. These core beliefs come from my father who also believed that a person should say what he will do and do what he says. “No one wants to hear promises, they just want to see results,” he would say. These words motivate me to work hard in highschool and earn a football scholarship to the University of Southern California which would set the stage for the rest of my life and my professional career.
Late in life, my father left a lucrative profession at IBM to become Pastor and give his life to God. For him, there is great virtue in serving those less fortunate. With these principles as my guiding light, I have always done more than I was asked in my personal and professional life and have always made a point to serve the communities in which I have lived. Today, I can proudly say that I live a life that is truly result driven and community conscious.
